Climate Justice for New Orleans’ Lower Ninth Ward: One Flow Funder’s Journey in Trust-Based Philanthropy
In this July, 2023 story map, River Network highlights the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans and Arthur Johnson. A leader in his community, Arthur understands that in addition to climate resilience, his community has multiple concerns—access to affordable housing, jobs, decision-making, historical preservation, and a sense of belonging—and that these are ALL important in creating sustainability and equitable climate resilience.
Green Infrastructure: Multiple Benefits for Urban Waters Communities
There is seldom a single solution for these multiple issues that urban communities face. Green infrastructure comes pretty close, especially when planned, designed, and implemented equitably. Members of the Urban Waters Learning Network (UWLN) are working on green infrastructure to address different environmental issues.
